‘Flags for Schools’ launched as part of 1916 commemorations

 
Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Minister for Education Jan O’Sullivan and Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Heather Humphreys launched the Flags for Schools initiative last week with our teachers Mr O Connor and Ms O Mahony along with some first year and second year pupils to collect our flag which will be risen tomorrow along with every school in Ireland to “remember the great sacrifice of the people who fought in 1916 and after, so that this flag could be flown by its people, and that this nation could take its place among the world’s free nations" - Enda Kenny.

LCA Valentines Enterprise

 

LCA students - Stephanie and Claire, made a handsome profit on their very first Enterprise Project.

First Place at the Irish Schools Hairdressing Competition!

 

 Congratulations to Geraldine Kelleher who came first in the in the Fantasy Up-Style Category yesterday at St. John's where the All Ireland Schools Hairdressing Competition was held. A number of McEgan College Hair Dressing students took part in  this very prestigious competion. Well done to all!

LCVP 5th Years Visit Liebherr

On Tuesday the LCVP 5th Year class visited Liebherr in Kilarney, the students organized this visit in order to write up a Summary Report for their portfolio. We were taken on a tour of the entire plant and given a presentation by their Product Design Manager.
